How to send Customs Declaration to AU Customs. 

Once all job details have been accurately entered into the TW Freight Customs module, a Formal Import Declaration (FID) can be sent to Customs. 

Ensure all information has been checked before sending the Customs Declaration.

 1. From the Customs Job screen – click on EDI tab. 

2. Clicking on the Pre-Lodge button allows you to send a test Declaration message to Customs. Same process as a Formal Import Declaration except that it is a test only and no Declaration is made. A response will be received from Customs as it would be for an FID.

 3. Clicking on the Send button allows you to send a Formal Import Declaration. 

4. A response message from customs that will automatically appear on the Main screen of the customs job. 

The message CLEAR indicated customs of cleared the goods for import. 

You may also receive error messages which will require you to go back into the job.
