Overview
Due to result of Microsoft turning off Basic Authentication which disables POP3 function, users will not be able to send mail from TradeWindow Freight from Office365 Domain.
To overcome the issue, TradeWindow team have designed a process for you to continue without disruptions. Below are are steps as follows
If you encounter any issues with sending mail from system, please feel free to send an email to twf_support@tradewindow.io
Emails are attached to user so you will need to ensure that the login details in Admin under Users Tab has the email against that specific user.
Ensure that you have fully signed out of logged email in any of the devices
Login to TradeWindow Freight
Go to Print Email & Fax at the right hand corner of the application, go down to Email and then to Send as shown below
A window will appear as follows,
a) select Office 365
b) Tick Use Chilkat
c) Click on Login
d) Clicking on login will take you to outlook email account login page as follows. Login to your Office 365 Account with the credentials
From Oct 1 you may be asked to enter a txt code or authenticator app code
You cannot generate token from Internet Explorer browser as its not supported by Microsoft therefore if default browser is set to Internet Explorer, please change to Chrome, Edge using the default app function on your workstation
e) Once you have successfully signed into your office 365 email account, you will see the following on the screen that OAuth2 access has been granted.
Note sometimes we find an error on first login attempt. If you do see this page simply go back to TradeWindow Freight application and click the login button again
You will only have to do this once as a initial set up and will only require to do this again once token has expired
The access is saved against the user so you will have to follow this process if you change the email address associated with the user
Now you will be able to send emails from within jobs etc Just remember to have Office365 button selected if you are using MFA and Other for all other mail providers using Basic Authentication
